Analysis of Data
CEC offers a research-based process for identifying key indicators, measures and targets that align to a district’s long-range improvement plan goals or school’s improvement goals. This process includes identifying an aligned data management system from the classroom to the boardroom for a district and from student data to school data for a school. The data include key indicators, measures and targets aligned to the improvement plan in the areas of student growth and achievement, learning environment, professional capacity, partnerships, and use of resources.

Plan, Do, Study, Act (PDSA) Cycle Coaching
CEC takes a systematic approach to improvement utilizing the Plan, Do, Study, Act (PDSA) Cycle as the foundation for tackling challenges. All of our work embeds and aligns to every aspect of this process. Our PDSA Cycle coaching supports an improvement science mindset as we partner with you on evidence collection and data to reach your change goals. Our customized plans address the following objectives:
- Understand how the PDSA cycle fits within the larger improvement efforts
- Collect and analyze data for reflection and learning
- Utilize data as direction setting for repeating the PDSA Cycle
While PDSA Cycle coaching can be a stand-alone service, it is more typically included in a comprehensive support plan tied to a specific problem of practice.
