Shelley Taylor
Executive Director
Shelley Taylor is the Executive Director of CEC and a National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT). She manages all programs, partnerships, and content for teacher evaluation, teacher mentoring and leadership, and inclusion practices, as well as oversees day-to-day operations of CEC’s contracted services.
A former teacher, instructional coach, union president, and district level administrator, Shelley serves Pre-K-12 settings with strong collaborative practices focused on continuous improvement. She has a strong background in facilitating and leading professional learning communities as described in her book, Game Plan: A playbook for developing winning PLCs at work© (Garcia, H., McCluskey, K., Taylor, S., 2015). She also has successful experience managing NCLB and state funded grants.
Shelley received her BA in Elementary Education from National-Louis University and a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of St. Mary. She also holds an Educational Leadership endorsement from DePaul University and is a National Board Certified Teacher/ Exceptional Needs Specialist for ages birth to young adult.
