Donzell Franklin has worked in Education Administration for over 14 years in the City of Chicago and surrounding suburbs. Donzell has a proven background in urban education reform and has received many accolades for “turning around” underperforming schools, focusing on culture/climate, restorative practices and SEL. Donzell has worked in public, private and boarding school educational settings and has also led non-for-profit initiatives Integrating education, health, and community to support the whole child.
Donzell proudly serves as a municipal government elected official and was recently selected to sit on the Illinois Children’s Mental Health Partnership
(promotion and prevention) Committee to develop a new mental health plan for the Children in Illinois. Donzell holds a B.A. Degree in Political Science from
Tuskegee University, a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University and Certificate of Global Leadership from the University of The Virgin Islands.
